Email verification has several layers. A correctly formatted address can belong to a nonexistent domain. A domain can exist without mail servers. A mail server can accept all addresses, or deliberately hide whether a mailbox exists. EmailValidly reports those layers separately so an uncertain SMTP result is not presented as a fact.
